Veolia Water Technologies Australia is proud to announce its latest contract with Nexus Delivery, which will see Veolia design and provide a bundled mobile water treatment solution for irrigation of construction works. Veolia’s mobile containerized packaged water treatment plant options, Hydrex Chemical and services will ensure reliable treated water supply from nearby bore water supply, coupled with mobility, to service three locations in Nexus Delivery’s Toowoomba Second Range Crossing (TSRC) project.
Nexus Delivery is the construction joint venture of Nexus Infrastructure, consisting of Acciona Infrastructure Australia and Ferrovial Agroman, and is responsible for the design and construction of the A$1.6 Billion TSRC project, a 41-kilometer heavy vehicle route. The project is the largest Australian Government commitment to a single road project in Queensland’s history and is jointly funded by the Australian and Queensland Governments.
As the centerpiece of major economic development taking place in south-western Queensland, the new road will create a safer, faster and more efficient route for connecting freight to major ports and markets. Once completed, the route will connect the Warrego Highway at Helidon Spa in the east to the Gore Highway at Athol in the west via Charlton.
The recently established partnership between Nexus Delivery and Veolia covers the supply of a mobile lease plant, process engineering, project management, local service support, site assembly, site supervision and Hydrex® chemical supply, over a minimum term of 10 months, with flexible options to extend the use of the supplied plant.
Veolia’s customized mobile solution features a brackish water reverse osmosis (RO) system, combined with a multimedia filter pretreatment and Hydrex® chemicals. This tailor-made solution allows Nexus Delivery to expand its purified water capacity, and to achieve sustainable performance and maximum efficiency, with the flexibility to address the projects’ requirements
“As a leading global provider of water and wastewater solutions, Veolia has developed the Mobile Water Services based on its rich experience and understanding of the industrial water treatment market’s needs,” said Craig Hancock, National Client Manager (Service & Mobile Water Treatment), Veolia Water Technologies Australia. “The Toowoomba Second Range Crossing is a significant initiative for Queensland’s development and we are proud to be a valued partner in this milestone project.”
